For the more serious of cyclists, the Garmin Edge 305 is the next system in the Edge series. With it’s sleek design, the Edge 305 features a 1.17"W x 1.44"H (29.65 x 36.69 mm), 128 x 160 pixels, 4-level grayscale LCD with back-light for easy viewing just like its little brother, the Edge 205.
Rugged, lightweight Edge attaches easily to the stem or handlebars of your bike with the included bike mount. Just turn it on, acquire GPS satellites and go. Edge 305 automatically measures your speed, distance, time, calories burned, altitude, climb and descent, and records this data for your review. For extra-precise climb and descent data, Edge 305 also incorporates a barometric altimeter to pinpoint changes in elevation.

This Edge 305 comes packaged with a heart rate monitor, and speed/cadence sensor. These wireless sensors use ANT technology to send valuable workout data to the Edge.
- Heart Rate — measure your heart rate and track your heart rate zone with the lightweight, comfortable heart rate strap. Don't worry about cross-talk; ANT technology eliminates interference from other heart rate monitors.
- Cadence — monitor your pedaling cadence and wheel speed as you ride with the self-calibrating, wireless speed/cadence sensor that attaches securely to your bike. You can even use it to train indoors because the sensor attaches to your rear wheel.
The Edge 305 comes packed with features to assist in your daily ride. One of which is called the "Virtual Partner". The Virtual partner included in the Edge 305 will allow you to ride against a desired pace. You can even ride against a previous course you’ve ridden that is stored in the Edge 305’s database. This information can then be transferred to the included "Training Center" program via usb connection, allowing you to analyze your results with interactive tools provided in this software.
